filters.mail.umich.edu allows you to create server-side mail filters to sort your incoming mail into folders on the ITS mail server. These filters work when the mail is delivered, so they will work on your mail no matter which IMAP e-mail program you use. Our online documentation should help you get started.

Never send your password to anyone!

Use the Accept List to make sure that mail from certain addresses always gets to your INBOX -- no matter how your spam filters categorize it.

Don't use server-side filters to deal with spam. Use the Do Not Spam List and SpamBox to fight spam instead.
